Name- Alexi Hobbs
Where are you from?- Montreal, Quebec
Your equipment- Mamiya 7, Mamiya RB67.
Influences and photographers you like- A lot of cinema, especially by Andrei Tarkovsky, Wim Wenders, Werner Herzog and David Lynch, among many others. I'm also constantly surprised and moved by the people I surround myself with, Montreal has a large creative community composed of people that love to support one another. My roomate, Maxyme G. Delisle is also a photographer and we spend hours discussing photography, having that at home is a great thing. That and all the gear and photobooks we get to share! Obviously my partner, Isabelle, with whom I have developed an intensely creative and intimate photographic relationship and who is always a willing subject. Music is also a big thing and I try to share some of what I like on my blog.
As far as photographers go, there are just too many. It ranges from Robert Frank, Eggleston, Shore, Adams, Sternfeld, Soth to Tillmans, Ehtridge, Rødland, Gossage to a lot of the newer generation photographers like Jessica Eaton, Sam Falls, Daniel Shea, Jake Stangel, Adam Jeppesen and tooooo many others.
A little about you- My first job was selling hot dogs from a cart.
